About Me
Greetings! I am Akhyar Ahmed, currently residing in Germany for the past four enriching years. Originally hailing from the vibrant city of Sylhet, Bangladesh, my journey in the field of computer science and engineering began at Leading University, Sylhet, where I completed my bachelor's degree. My professional voyage commenced with a four-month stint as a backend developer in an IT firm.
Following this, I ventured into academia, joining Leading University as a faculty member. In 2019, I embarked on a new chapter by moving to Germany to pursue a master's in data science at the University of Potsdam. Throughout my master's program, I delved deep into the realms of data science, acquiring expertise in statistical data analysis, advanced machine learning, bayesian inference, advanced nlp, and more. The academic rigors were complemented by practical experiences, as evidenced by my four years of research and work at DFKI (The German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence).
Within the realm of natural language processing (NLP), I have witnessed the power of language in bridging the gap between humans and machines. Advanced NLP applications, such as dialogue systems, have been a focal point of my research at DFKI. The ability to create systems that can understand, interpret, and respond to human language is not just a technical feat but a profound stride toward human-computer interaction.
My portfolio reflects diverse endeavors, showcasing my proficiency in NLP, computer vision, cognitive science, and prompt engineering. One notable highlight of my academic journey includes contributing to international publications, with one of my papers being published in ACL, a prestigious conference in the world of natural language processing (NLP).
I am passionate about leveraging technology to unravel the complexities of data, and my journey so far has been a testament to continuous learning and exploration in the ever-evolving landscape of data science.
